Diariva Groups: split trips, dinners, and shared costs without the spreadsheet

Household finance is one thing. Splitting a weekend trip or team dinner is another. Group Expenses is built for the costs you share temporarily—with people who aren't on your rent contract.

Diariva Groups: split trips, dinners, and shared costs without the spreadsheet

When Groups beats a household workspace

Couples and roommates need ongoing budgets. Friends on a ski trip or colleagues at lunch need something lighter: add an expense, see balances, settle, done. Groups are separate from your home workspace. Invite with a link, split costs during the event, and close the group when everyone's square—without mixing trip beer money with your rent.

Fair splits without the awkward math

Equal splits work for some expenses. Custom percentages work when someone paid more. Two-person presets cover the classic "I paid, we split 50/50" in one tap. Everyone sees the same numbers—less "I think I owe you…" and fewer screenshots of calculators in the group chat.

Settle up on your schedule

Balances update as you add expenses. Settle pairwise when you're ready—bank transfer, PayPal, or cash offline. The app records what's been acknowledged so the ledger stays honest. Finished a trip? Close the group or bring your share into household mode if you're moving in together.

Receipt scan for restaurant nights

When one card pays and the restaurant won't split the check, scan the receipt. Diariva reads line items in many languages, translates them for you, and lets you assign each dish and drink to the right person—including tip and tax. That's the feature friends ask for most. We built it because we've been at that table too.

Getting started

  • Create a group per trip or recurring dinner crew—not one mega-group for everyone you know.
  • Add expenses while you remember them; balances stay live.
  • Use receipt scan when items differ—equal split when everyone shared one pizza.
  • Settle before the group chat turns into accounting homework.
