When you open Variable Expenses, you now see a quick summary for the selected month: the total spent, who paid how much (with profile photos), and a small chart showing each person’s share. Colors on the chart match the borders around each member’s avatar so it’s easy to read at a glance.
Category breakdown on the same page
A spending-by-category chart now sits next to the monthly summary on Variable Expenses. It uses the same month you pick with the arrow stepper—no extra date picker—and you can tap a category to drill into subcategories, just like on the dashboard.
Receipt scans can suggest a budget category (Pro Plus)
When you import a receipt on Pro Plus with envelope budgeting, Diariva can suggest which budget envelope fits the purchase. If you pick a different budget when confirming, the app learns from that for next time. You’ll also see how much of that envelope is already used before you save the expense.

Variable Expenses summaries on mobile too
Phones now show the same monthly summary and category chart as desktop. The filter button and month stepper sit above the cards so you can change month or filters before scrolling the list.
Clearer icons in the menu and bottom bar
Navigation icons now match what each section is for: a repeat/calendar style icon for fixed (recurring) expenses, a receipt for variable expenses, and a wallet for budgets instead of a piggy bank that looked like savings.

Currency shown the way your workspace expects
Amounts across Variable Expenses, settlements, and summaries now use your workspace currency consistently—for example $ instead of US$ when your workspace is set to dollars.
